This Feeling, Again - Fortress

Ah, This Feeling, Again... I wrote about this last summer: I'm hopelessly, head over heels in love with the voice of Hanne Torfs. Let me just copy/paste from back then as it's still relevant today: "There's something utterly captivating about her voice that has me completely hooked."

And her band Fortress has a new single out: This Feeling, Again. From their site:

With ‘This Feeling, Again’, Fortress kicks off the year in which their debut album will take shape. Inspirer, singer and producer Hanne Torfs serves up a hypnotic electro track in which pulsating beats, an ominous choir and folkloric percussion merge into an ecstatic ritual. Fear makes place to surrender in a dark, danceable universe reminiscent of The Knife, Weval and Moderat.
The track was mixed by Tristan Thomas (from the French producer duo Walter Astral), the artwork was created in collaboration with artist Philine van den Hul, and the accompanying music video - filmed in Morocco with partner and band member Nils - anchors Fortress' vision: image and music form a whole, uncompromising and free from pigeonholing.

And I couldn't agree more! There's something dark and brooding in the synth/bass line, the percussion rhythms driving the entire thing forward, kind of organically. And then that voice to top it all off.

Yea, I've got the exact same feeling as last summer, again... (And yes, my partner is fully aware of my celebrity crush and finds it amusing!)
