The Rip - Portishead
Once upon a time I was a student who enjoyed photography as a hobby. And as you might already know, movies and music are also hobbies of mine, and I like combining my hobbies so I look for movies about my hobbies. Enter: Palermo Shooting. In the movie, the photographer drives around in his car and listens to music from his headphones. One of the songs is The Rip by Portishead. It's such an atmospheric song, perfectly fitting for the atmospheric drive and mood of the film at that time. Of course I had to put the song on my phone and walk around town with my camera listening to that song on repeat trying to create the perfect picture whilst listening to that song recreating the movie. Needless to say I did not succeed, or I would not be writing this stupid blog here. Anyway, the song is pretty cool, and this story is pretty cool, so enjoy:
The movie is pretty mediocre, and pretty hard to find these days, don't bother looking for it.
