Teen Rebel - The Haunted Youth

We're continuing this week's theme of Belgian artists with this track by The Haunted Youth. I caught them playing this live during the Pukkelpop livestream and instantly added it to my Spotify liked songs—that's always the mark of a great discovery.

The song explores themes of youthful escapism and that restless feeling of 'wanting more'—but with darker undertones of self-destructive choices and hitting rock bottom. It perfectly captures that teenage spirit I remember so well: craving something bigger from life, not finding it, and sometimes choosing the wrong escape routes while battling inner demons.

Now I'm older (and some say wiser), but that feeling of wanting more from life? It still exists, just channeled differently these days. This blog, for instance, is a way of channeling it for me.
