Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Pts 1-5 - 2011 Remaster - Pink Floyd

I've always listened to Pink Floyd. My dad's a big fan of them, and their albums were regular listens during long road trips.
I remember a quote about Pink Floyd: "they're masters of playing with silence". And this track is an excellent example of that. The intro is long, without much happening, a lot of silence. The guitar starts playing a few notes, but still, a lot of silence in between the notes. Silences that I'm almost forced to fill with embellishments of my own, making what I hear in my head uniquely mine. You'll probably hear a different version.
Also: Pink Floyd albums are among the very best when it comes to mastering quality and dynamic range (the difference between the loudest and quietest parts of the tracks). Making them excellent listens when I'm in 'critical listening audiophile' mode.
The 2011 remasters are epic versions, the 2023 remasters are a cash grab. Anyway, enjoy the silence! Until the drum kicks in and the song finally breaks through after 4 minutes and 30 seconds.
