2025 was the year AI took over the internet. Half the content you’ve read lately was likely generated by a prompt—and I’m just as guilty as anyone. I over-relied on it for months until I hit an existential wall. Now, I’m back to writing "manually," mostly because I realized I missed the craft.

I’m a writer at heart. I write code and documentation for a living, and blog posts and terrible short stories for myself. To get the words out, I need to find "the zone." It’s that headspace where time vanishes—where an interruption feels like being ripped out of the Matrix or waking up from a decades-long dream in Inception.

I recently asked an AI to curate a "flow-coding" playlist, and I have to give credit where it's due: it’s perfect. The second I hit play, my brain clicks into gear. It’s working time.
